Sammy's home!

It's tuesday and it's raining. Hmmmm. The rain suits Vancouver better than San Diego. However, the good news is that Sammy is home from Camp Roger. I can tell he had fun with Murphy there because he came home all dirty and I gave him a sponge bath; and then combed enough hair to create a small poodle for his companion. I am grateful for his loving care from Uncle Roger that allowed me to be gone for a week. He is now sqwinkling up the rug to get juuuust right to lie down near me while I type.

And speaking of dogs...welcome to Miss Sally! Joel Anderson and John Pritchard have adopted a new girl in the family. Sally is a rescue greyhound approx. 3 years old. She is beautiful and once she gets acclimated, maybe Joel will bring her to church to play with Sammy and all of us.

There was to be a Foundational class starting tonight, but we only had three people sign up and the class really needs at least 6 people to make it work. So Patti contacted the sign-ups to notify them that we are postponing the class for the time being; and Kathleen Sibley will be there this evening to meet and greet anyone who might just show up. We will re-assess the interest and reschedule soon. This is a great class that is guaranteed to change your life, so it is not to be missed.

Today, was about getting back into the swing of things. Plowing through the plethora of emails and snail mail. And very soon, I must set about getting my taxes ready for my appt. next week. Now that Sammy is back, I feel like I can put all the pieces together and be back on track for work tomorrow.

I have already heard great reports about Sunday's services while I was gone. Thanks to Sylvia Albright and Rev. David Phears for their presence and gifts to us all. I am eager to hear the CD's myself. Although, I shall pout that the CD's don't have the music.
I know that Rev. David is always especially tickled when I "loan" him the Miracle Choir.

Already making notes of the many things I wish to share on Sunday about the Gathering, our church and pre-Easter preparations. Met today with Don Converse of the HomeTeam and got an update on the many places they have been checking out for us.

Well, it would be easy to just sit here and type for hours but there are lots of loose ends yet that I shall take care of while watching "American Idol." I don't normally watch that show, but I have a personal interest in one of the contestants--Katherine McPhee. Many of you have had the pleasure of hearing Katherine's mother, Peisha McPhee who is my dear friend from L.A. sing for us at Pacific Church and I have known Katherine from her high school days. Katherine's beauty is only outshone by her vocal talent and presence. I encourage you to watch and vote for her.

Looking forward to connecting with everyone again this week and seeing y'all on Sunday.
remember it will be Daylight Savings time.

Love
Sammy's Mom
