O,CANADA!

Greetings from the Sheraton Wall Center Hotel in Vancouver!
Happy to connect with everyone again.

Rev. Sharon and I arrived on Sunday after a lovely flight on Alaska Airlines--where our adventure of abundance began and we upgraded to first class seats! The hotel is glorious and the most well-appointed hotel I have seen.

The city is so lovely. Clean and tidy. And people are not only friendly but conscious--for example, there are recycling bins all over the city and in our hotel room. The architechture is glorious and our room overlooks two old cathedrals and a view of the water.

Yesterday, was my official working day with the UCORS Cabinet. We presented our day for the Ministers and it was grand. Now I can just be a regular ol' attendee and delegate. The Opening Reception was last night and today begins the business portion.

Haven't seen Cindy May, Rev. Suzette or Stacy Williams as yet. Lots of other friendly and familiar faces.

OH, and yes, Virginia, there is a Starbucks...EVERYWHERE! including the lobby of our hotel. Wheeeeeeeeee! Although, I do plan to visit their local Blenz coffee cafe.

There are lots of dog friendly hotels here although I have only seen itty bitty dogs. Sammy would be a giant among them (*I miss Sammy the Wonder Dog. Rev. Sharon bought me an itty bitty scrunchy dog to keep me company).

This city thrives on beauty, too. FLowers and trees everywhere--and flower shops where there are bunches of flowers outside to peruse and smell. Reminds me of the streets of NY. And the businesses use beauty in their displays. From the Marketplace (ala WHole Foods) where the goat cheese is in a container with a pressed flower, to the breakfast buffet display of an elegantly carved watermelon into roses; and a yummy gelato shoppe with gorgeous swirls of amazing flavors adorned with flower petals and such. Not to mention they have sugar-free gelato and SOY gelator. WHeeeeeee again.

Well, Rev Michael (who is generously loaning me his laptop) and I are about to take off for the day.

Be well and stay in touch.

Love
RDD
