On Thursday, President Obama affixed his signature to the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a law named for an Alabama woman who at the end of a 19-year career as a supervisor in a tire factory complained that she had been paid less than men, thereby sending ... " a clear message that making our economy work means making sure it works for everybody.”
“It is fitting that with the very first bill I sign — the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act — we are upholding one of this nation’s first principles: that we are all created equal and each deserve a chance to pursue our own version of happiness,” the president said.
He said he was signing the bill not only in honor of Ms. Ledbetter ... but in honor of his own grandmother, “who worked in a bank all her life, and even after she hit that glass ceiling, kept getting up again” and for his daughters, “because I want them to grow up in a nation that values their contributions, where there are no limits to their dreams.”My grandmother thanks you. My mother thanks you.
And I, thank you President Obama.
O...kay, the way to being reallly cool and really successful these days is to have an "O" Name. I want one, too.
First there was Oprah. Then of course, "O"--the Cirque du Soleil show.
And now, we have our President Obama.
ODale? Nah, I am already Irish.
ODD? Clearly, that won't work.
(When I was in a production of The Three Sisters, I played Irina not Olga. Close, but no cigar.)
Oh, don't call me, I'll call you...
If you have an O name suggestion for me, let me know. Or if you have your own O name, I would like to hear that, too.
Ob-la-di Ob-la-da life goes on bra
La-la how the life goes on . . .

"Orv"? "Orev"? Actually, I'm going to vote for "Orli" which means "the light is mine." Seems to fit. :-)
Fun to browse at
www.behindthename.com
You can search by beginning letter or meaning, among other ways.
Orzsebet - devoted to God
Orora - dancing lights
Osane - health
Orli is lovely. But people might mistake me for the French airport. Orzebet? Beautiful definition but harsh sounding word itself.
I appreciate the melody of Orora...oooh, dancing light. And Osane, makes me laugh because you want to be 'sane'... O sane, can you see?
thanks
